Profile of Miss gulcin tunc Uludag University

gulcin tunc

I've had my undergraduate degree on city planning in Middle East Technical University where I have also completed my graduate and PhD studies in the field of urban policy planning and local governments. Currently, I am working as a lecturer in Uludag University and a member of the executive board of the Bursa branch of Chamber of City Planners.

General research interests

In my PhD thesis I've critically approched the arguments on the coherence of local units under conditions of urban economic competition at the global level. As a part of the mainstream arguments on local coherence I am currently elaborating on the concept of city branding. Besides, I am interested in making an evaluation of the transformation of Turkish legal framework on spatial development from the political economy perspective.
