Ayşe Burcu Kısacık, who works as a research assistant at Istanbul University, Faculty of Architecture, Department of City and Regional Planning, completed her undergraduate education at Istanbul Technical University, Faculty of Architecture, Department of Urban and Regional Planning in 2019 with second place. The graduation project "Iznik: City of Rising Creativity Handicrafts and Folk Art" won the first prize. She continues her higher education in Istanbul Technical University Urban Planning Master's Program with Thesis. Major research topics include climate change adaptation, food security, urban agriculture, urban resilience and smart city.
She has papers on climate change and heritage sites, and the development of elderly transport policies at a local scale. She also took part in projects on smart cities within the institution she worked for. She is doing her master's in urban agriculture and food security.
