Call for Abstracts - YA Conference 2019

The Local Organizing Comittee and the YA Coordination team invites young researchers, academics, and practitioners from all relevant disciplines to submit a written contribution to our 13th AESOP Young Academics Conference at the Technical University of Darmstadt between 2 - 5 April 2019. The submission deadline for abstracts is 14 October 2018.

YA Memzine published

Issue 1 of the Memzine is now available online

The Memzine is the member's magazine of the AESOP Young Academics Network. The project has been launched in 2017 with its inaugural issue published durich the AESOP Annual Congress in Gothenburg in 2018. The Memzine is a non-academic magazine for young researchers interested in activities of YA network. The Memzine consists of reports of recent YA activities, a list PhDs published by YA members, general advice for young researchers, and many more. The magazine will be published yearly. 

All YA members are invited to contribute. Please contact the Coordination Team with your ideas!

YA Activities during 2018 AESOP Congress

The AESOP Young Academics network is hosting three academic events during the 2018 AESOP Annual Congress in Gothenburg. 
  • The editorial board of our booklet series is going to host a roundtable under title Learning trough conversing. Results and next steps of the AESOP YA Conversations in Planning - Booklet Series. The roundtable will equally be today be on Wednesday, 11 July, 11:45 to 13:15, in room 221. 
  • Our General Assembly is going to be TODAY Wednesday, 11 July, 18:15 to 19:45, in room M022. The Coordination Team will report about all activities of the last and the upcoming year. We will also award the YA Best Paper Prize. 
  • The organisers of the 2017 YA Conference ar going to host a roundtable under the title Is planning a lone figher? The role of planning as part of an emerging interdisciplinary field of urban development. The roundtable will be on Friday, 13 July, 14:30 to 16:00, in room 226.

Additionally we will also be hosting a Social event tonight (Wednesday 11th July) at 8.30 in the Bryggeriet ( Kungsportsavenyen 3, 411 36 Gothenburg), where we can watch the England-Croatia game for those who want.
