Call for Editor(s) - Booklets
- September 12, 2018
‘Conversations-in-Planning’, YA-AESOP booklet series represent a Young Academics initiative documenting conversations between scholars about theories, ideas, concepts, and practices that matter in spatial planning. The booklet series aims to provide an interactive platform for early career researchers to develop their academic and intellectual skills, through their involvement in the production and publication of booklets within the series.
In addition to the Editor in Chief, there are three more editorial board members. We have recently revised the structure of the booklet project by merging three series (Philosophical theories in Planning, Planning Theory and Planning Practice) into one comprehensive project, as the boundary between these series/themes was overlapping.
Since November 2012, we have published following five booklets so far, with many more in the queue.
- DELEUZE AND GUATTARI: Jean Hillier in conversation with Gareth Abrahams (2015)
- FALUDI: INTRODUCING A THEORY OF PLANNING in conversation with Chandrima Mukhopadhyay (2015)
- Leonard Machler & Dan Milz (2015)
- Kristian Olesen & Louis Albrechts (2017)
- THE WORK OF ROY - RECKONINGS AND ENCOUNTERS Jennifer Tucker, Sara Hinkley (2018)
An editorial position with Conversations in Planning thus offers YA the opportunity to gain valuable editorial experience, extend their network with world-renowned planning theorists and practitioners, as well as early-career researchers and simultaneously develop their track record of publication. With one editorial board member stepping down from her position, we are now calling expression of interest from one or two members to join our editorial board. Please send the following documents to the email address: email@example.com.
- A letter of interest
- A 2-page CV highlighting relevant experience
- A list of publication if available
