ISOCARP annual congress, October 19-23, 2015
We are the International Society of City and Regional Planners, which brings together recognized and highly-qualified planners from more than 80 countries. We would like to invite you and members of your organization to join this year’s special 50th anniversary congress "Cities save the World! Let's Re-invent Planning" on October 19-23, 2015.
The ISOCARP2015 congress comes at a time of unprecedented global urbanization. Voices from the global level down to the ground - in both the public and private sector - are calling for a ‘planning’ approach to address the complex challenges that this brings. The congress is therefore an opportune time to open up to the world, work together and learn from each other.
The congress is built around 12 global themes, representing complex urban development issues. The themes will each be hosted in a two-day workshop by a city or network in Belgium, Germany and The Netherlands. The results of the workshops will be brought to Rotterdam for a central debate, including a Mayors’ Summit, Grand Synthesis and Matchmaking event.
The workshops and central debate offer you a unique chance to present your capacity in interactive, work on cases and contribute to a global debate on urgent urban issues. The congress is also a great chance to expand your professional network with an expected 500 professionals from around the globe. Please feel free to distribute the attached information flyer and to post it in your organization.
Visit the congress platform for more information and to join the online debate: www.isocarp2015.org. Click here for information on registration and fees. Don’t wait long, because workshops are filling fast and early bird registration closes July 31.
Cities save the world: let’s re-invent planning together!
We look forward to seeing you in Rotterdam!
