ISOCARP Young Planning Professionals' Workshop, Wroclaw, Poland, 2014
Since 1991 ISOCARP has organized the Young Planning Professionals’ workshops, intended to stimulate the professional interests and the development of planning skills of young planners. For this purpose ISOCARP is partnering with other institutions, including national and local professional organizations as well as consortiums developed in order to elaborate international cooperation projects.
Within this framework ISOCARP became part of the SUSREG project consortium (www.susreg.eu) in 2013. One of the roles of ISOCARP within the scope of work of this project is to prepare and conduct a Young Planning Professionals’ workshop. The Society of Polish Town Planners was selected as partner.
The topic of the workshop concerns the rethinking of planning and the development policy of the historical district of the City of Wroclaw, originating from the interwar period and now undergoing a process of significant changes and improvements. This is associated with many risks and issues, and one of them is the problem of energy efficiency.
